This crawl space shows exposed soil, moisture signs, and limited protection against water intrusion. Inside the crawl space, a StarPipe drainage system was installed along the perimeter wall. This perforated pipe, wrapped in a protective fabric sleeve, collects groundwater and directs it toward the sump pump. By controlling moisture at the soil level, the StarPipe prevents standing water, reduces humidity, and helps protect the crawl space structure from long-term water damage.
A sump pump system was installed inside the crawl space to actively remove collected water from the StarPipe drainage system. The pump directs water away from the home's foundation, preventing pooling and reducing the risk of structural damage. With its sealed lid and discharge lines, this system provides long-term protection against flooding and keeps the crawl space dry.
PVC discharge lines were routed from the sump pump to the exterior of the home. This system safely channels water away from the foundation, preventing it from re-entering the crawl space. By directing water to a proper drainage outlet, the home is protected from repeated flooding issues and long-term soil erosion around the perimeter.
The discharge line was extended underground through the yard to carry water away from the home's foundation. Gravel backfill and protective sheeting were used to improve drainage and reduce soil disruption. This ensures water is directed to a safe exit point on the property, keeping both the crawl space and foundation dry and secure.
