The existing floor joists in this home had weakened and shifted overtime, creating bouncy and sagging floors above. We permanently stabilized this home's floors by installing SmartJacks with steel supplemental beams throughout the crawl space. These fully-adjustable steel piers immediately stop settlement and may even lift the floors above back to their original position.
The team installed SmartJack support posts by first excavating areas in the crawl space to create stable bases for the posts. Then, they placed the SmartJacks on the prepared bases and adjusted them to provide the necessary support, stabilizing the crawl space and preventing further sinking. This solution addressed the issue of wall cracks caused by the sinking foundation.
Jacksonville homeowner Renzo was made aware by his tenant of noticeable floor sagging in the living room area. Although living out of town in Miami, he knew it was time to take action to protect the property and its tenants.
Upon inspection, our team identified that the home’s crawlspace was lacking adequate support beneath key load-bearing areas. We installed a series of SmartJack steel support posts, precisely adjusted to lift and stabilize the sagging floor system. These galvanized posts are built to resist corrosion and provide permanent, adjustable support ensuring long-term strength beneath the home.

In this Jacksonville home, the crawl space was showing clear signs of moisture problems damp soil, exposed insulation, and unprotected ductwork that were leaving the area vulnerable to mold, wood rot, and poor air quality. To address these issues, we removed debris, sealed the space with a heavy-duty vapor barrier, and installed a sump pump system to actively manage water intrusion. Support jacks were added to reinforce the structure, and insulation was improved for better energy efficiency. The result is a clean, dry, and stable crawl space that protects the home from the ground up.
